If you are purchasing a blue or isabella Dachshund, it’s important to be informed about CDA. Not all dilute dogs will develop CDA, but the risk is higher than in traditional coat colors. Prospective owners should be prepared to:

• Regularly bathe and condition the dog using gentle, vet-recommended shampoos 
• Provide a quality diet to support skin 

Color Dilution Alopecia (CDA) is a hereditary skin condition that can affect dogs with "dilute" coat colors, such as blue or isabella Dachshunds. This condition is linked to the same gene that lightens coat color—causing the striking pale hues many people admire—but unfortunately, it can also cause issues with hair and skin health. 

 CDA is not life-threatening, and many dogs with this condition live full, happy lives. However, it can require lifelong skin care management and vet monitoring to keep the dog comfortable and avoid infections. It’s more of a cosmetic and maintenance concern than a health crisis. 

• Thinning coat or patchy hair loss (typically begins between 6 months and 3 years of age)
• Dry, flaky, or itchy skin
• Secondary bacterial or yeast infections due to irritated skin
• Coat that appears dull or brittle

We now operate on a priority waitlist system rather than a traditional waitlist. By placing a security deposit, you can secure first, second, or third pick of the litter—assigned in the order deposits are received. This option is only available based on the expected litter size, either confirmed during pregnancy or once the puppies are born.

Please note:
The priority waitlist is reserved for families committed to getting a dachshund, regardless of coat type, color, or gender. If you are seeking a specific appearance, this option may not be the best fit.

Photos of the puppies will only be shared with priority waitlist families during the first two weeks of life so they can make their selections. After those picks are made, remaining puppies will be made available on our website on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the unfortunate event that the entire litter is lost, priority families will be offered picks from the next available litters.

Please understand that we cannot guarantee gender, coat type, or color, and pricing will only be shared after the puppies are born and we know exactly what we have.

 All currently available puppies will be listed on our website or social media page, if any are available at the time. We also provide updates on upcoming or expected litters, so be sure to check regularly for the latest information. 

All of our puppies are AKC certified, and you will have the option to register your puppy and enjoy the full range of benefits offered by the American Kennel Club.

We sell our puppies as pets only, meaning breeding rights are not included. This policy is in place to help protect our dogs from being placed in puppy mills or with inexperienced breeders who may not prioritize their health and wellbeing.

In select cases, breeding rights may be granted to established, ethical, and professional breeders—this is determined on a case-by-case basis.

While we do not currently offer in-house financing, we accept the following payment methods:

A 2.99% transaction fee applies to all electronic payments.

If you choose to pay via credit card, Venmo, or PayPal, please notify us in advance so we can prepare your invoice accordingly. An invoice and contract will be sent to your email for all deposits.

Please note: All deposits are nonrefundable. We strongly encourage you to review the contract carefully before submitting your deposit.

We use Embark genetic testing on all of our parent dogs. Embark is a comprehensive DNA screening tool that provides valuable insights into breed composition, genetic health risks, and physical traits.

Previously, we tested only for PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and the dapple gene. We now conduct full-panel health testing, screening for 270+ genetic conditions, to ensure the long-term health and quality of our breeding program.

Please note: Genetic testing applies only to our parent dogs. Puppies can be tested upon request at the buyer’s expense.
